NDIS Information
Understanding the NDIS
The NDIS can feel confusing at first. Here are the basics, in plain language.

The basics
What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government scheme. It funds supports for people with a permanent and significant disability, to help them live more independently, take part in the community and reach their goals.
Your plan
What is in an NDIS plan?
Your NDIS plan sets out your goals and the funding you have for supports. Funding is grouped into support budgets.
Some funding can be used flexibly within a budget, and some can only be used for the specific supports described in your plan. If you’re unsure, ask your plan manager, support coordinator or us.

Do I need a referral?
No. You, a family member, plan manager or support coordinator can contact us directly.
What is a service agreement?
It’s a written agreement between you and Goldway Care. It sets out what support we’ll provide, when, and how much it costs, before support starts.
How much do your services cost?
Our prices follow the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, and are paid from your NDIS plan. We’ll give you a quote first.
Can a family member or carer be involved?
Yes, as much or as little as you like.
What if I’m not happy with my support?
Tell us. We take all feedback seriously and will work with you to fix it. You can also contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544.
